Here comes the new Androids, new OS with new hardware.
Android 4.2 (an incremental update to 4.1 Jellybean and still called jellybean): New Quick Settings, New multi user support for tablets, New 360 panorama mode for camera, New swype like gesture support for stock keyboard, wireless display support and lots of updates for GoogleNow, it comes preinstalled with Nexus 4 and Nexus 10, other Nexus device to get the OTA update soon (including our GNex)
Nexus 4: LG made next Nexus device, incredible pricing, 299 USD for a quad core 2GB RAM , 8GB, 4.7 IPS HD screen phone without any contracts. I might get the 16GB version for 350$
Nexus 10: The highest resolution and PPI screen available any tablet, 2560x1600 on 10 inch - 300 PPI
Am already throwing money at my screen for the Nexus 4 (i like the design, better than Galaxy Nexus (with gorilla glass back), and its a much better display, IPS LCD)
Now the Nexus names makes sense, Nexus 4 - 4 inch phone, Nexus 7 - 7 Inch Tablet and Nexus 10 - a 10 inch tablet
Re: Google announces Android 4.2 Jellybean, Nexus 4 and Nexus 10
I want jellybean for my S3 without rooting. :( Can I?
Only the international SIII got jellybean, the US versions are suppose get the update next month (November), when it arrives you will get a notification for a OTA update
But here we are talking about the next version after 4.1.1, google has a 6 months release cycle for Android, so you will get a new version of Android every 6 months, all the nexus devices will get the update directly from google.

I heard that some people had the update that's why I was wondering when mine will come. :( I guess I will just have to wait patiently. Sorry to derail the thread back to version 4.1.1.
