This is just a reminder about Goodbye threads that many of you open when you decide to take a hiatus from GS, for whatever reasons. Though it is sad to see you leave, we understand that sometimes, things come up, in our lives, which requires more attention than we can provide, and so we can’t continue our sojourn on GS. So when you decide to open a goodbye thread, please let it be really a goodbye thread. It means that if you’re leaving for an extended time, or forever, then be it so. But do not make a Goodbye thread an attention seeking thread. If we find out that either the goodbye thread was really a good night thread, or you’ve come back earlier than predicted, a strict warning, and possibly harsher consequences, will follow.
It seems like a tough love policy, but it’s a policy that is a result of experience in these matters. It is highly unfair of you to play with the feeling of your friends that hold you dear, and not only that, it’s an abuse of the resources that GS provides you. We at Cafe do not want to see this happen again and again, and this reminder is to discourage such a trend from happening/re-occuring.
Again, sorry to see you leave (if you are indeed leaving) and we certainly hope to see you again in Cafe and GS, flooding.
