Why don't more girls learn to cook when they are young? My children have been helping me in the kitchen since they were tall enough to stand on a stool and stir the cookie dough. As a result my teenage son makes excellent salan and better roti than I do. I never bought into this "my children are studying so they can't cook/clean/do manual labor.
