I’m coming into chi town after a loooong time with my team next week.
What are some new happening restaurants? I want to make reservations for a couple of good dinners out.

Chicago is a nice city..... last time i visited there found some Indian restaurants....... the food were awesome...... i really enjoyed that a lot........

I heard a lot about Devon Street. you will find many restaurants.

If you’re looking for a nice desi restaurant (sort of place where you can take your colleagues for a sit down dinner), try Jaipur. It’s in the West loop, but you can easily take a cab there. If your colleagues drink, Jaipur makes some great desi cocktails.
Gaylords is also a good option, and it’s in downtown. We’ve tried their food - it’s really good.

Devon is about 30 mins away from downtown and has more no-fuss Indian and Pakistani restaurants. Some of them have great food, but you may be served on paper plates and plastic cutlery. So check out the restaurant’s website before going.
Another nice but not too snooty restaurant we like is Heaven on Seven. It’s in downtown, and has southern/Creole food.

We really like Sabri ...for all desi foods...Usmania for Chinese ...food will vary depending on the chef...
Tahoora is great for sweets and savories...do bring some methai for loved ones....it's casual and on the inexpensive side.
In the subarbs...Bombay chopsticks is very good. Their appetizers are better than entrees...if you are going with a group try to order all of the appetizers...they are simply delicious..
There are lots of great vegetarian places in you are into chaats and South Indian food like dosas and vadas. Go when they afternoon brunch..those tend have a lot of variety if dishes.
Devon will be your best bet for shopping and casual dining. Take a cab...as it is virtually impossible to find parking there.

I think people pretty much named all the desi places so I'll get on the other side.
- Uno's pizza! its the best
-Lou Malnatis- amazing deep dish pizza
-Nori Nori- for sushi
-Alhambra- perfect for weekends, have live entertainment and Mediterranean food
-Albawadi- Amazing Mediterranean food
-Alkhiyam-decent atmosphere, good food
-Chicago Primesteak- expensive but the food is to die for and the whole vibe
Reza's- good buffet, perfect for lunch time and stuff. Persian food btw.
Red dragon- Good chinese food
Wild Berry - delish hearty breakfast

Defiantly go to one of Rick Bayless' restaraunts..Frontera Grill & Topolobampo are a must!!
