Oh you mean Faisal Iqbal is much senior player then Shane Warne? I guess Shane is established players a lot longer then Faisal Iqbal and he would trouble any player even in his start of career.
Why don't you except the praise for anyone?
This forum was about who is good player of spin and you jumped in with criticism typical....rather then giving your views of who is good player of spin....

that innings never haunt Warne I am sure, however is going to haunt us for several more years. Whenever someone wants to justify his selection in the side, they decide to remind us when Faisal hit some boundries of Warne. Never here about Asim Kamal's 99 against Saffies or 87 against Aussies or his fifties against India.

Its a known fact that Faisal Iqbal is one of the best players of spin bowling in our domestic cricket. Im no fan of Iqbal nor am I defending him...I certainly think players like Shahid Yousuf or even Fawad Alam should be picked ahead him...but the decision against Iqbal yesterday was a dodgy one. Kaneria had appealed against Ganguly in very smiliar manner yesterday at least twice but the umpire didnt give him out.

^ I thought that was a bit harsh too. Faisal played down the wrong line for sure but he was well forward when he missed the ball and the umpire should have considered that.

Hazraat, the point was that Faisal Iqbal has been touted to be a good player of spin for that particular inning against Warne, what has he achieved afterwards? He is as mediocre as Taufeeq Umar, Imran Farhat or anyone else for that matter.

Well if you remember 2006's first test away in SL, Faisal saved that test in company with Malik and he handled Murali without much difficulty.
However, I dont think he scores consistenly enough so time to move forward.
