I am looking for paintings for several places in my house. For instance a green dominating/leaves for kitchen and grey/black object on white backgroud for stairs and many more mossiac/abstract for other rooms/lobby etc.

Personally I have never been there just passed by, their headquarters are very close to my house. They sell all kinds of framed paintings of different artists.

If it's abstract you're looking for.....
gimme the size and the type that you want.....that is, if you want canvas or print.....the colour scheme you need and whether you like straight lines or something curvaceous.
maybe we can get one commissioned for you.
seriously though....I've checked the same places that you have listed and I come away with either a price issue or the colours aren't right. There appear to be very few that fit the taste......and then they are way out of my budget.
So I've picked up three square canvases from Loomis and I'm gonna give abstract art a shot.
If all else fails, I'm gonna have my niece do something.....she's absolutely amazing! I would rather pay her than pay others.

I've checked a lot of the stores. I have a hard time finding something I actually like. The closest I have ever come to buying a painting is from a Canadian boutique stores at Square One. It had African themed paintings that were really nice ... but they were really not unique. Nice, but not nice enough to make me buy it.
I'm still looking. Like Muzna said, the ones that are "just o.k." are so overpriced. The colours are not that great too. I need something to speak to me in order to buy it.
I got one painting when I was in Mexico. It's a small water painting done on a tile and framed. I just liked the scenes the artist created and the use of colours. I guess I'm not into fancy shmancy stuff.

actually im looking for someone that does potrait paintings...i would like to give it to my parents for their new house gift..a portrait of my grandparents...
also looking for those "gaon" paintings ...u know, of pakistan....i love them!

my problem is that when I find a print that I like, the frame is UGLY
and when the frame is okay, then the print is hideous!
