Good Mattai for shaadi?

Salaam everyone! We were ordering our mattai today and I was wondering what are the best ones for a wedding (besides ladoo, berfi, and gulab jamun)
The guy told us baloushais are for weddings…Does anyone know of any other really good ones?

They have really cute mini-laddoo's and gulab jamun's! Seen them in Karachi

I had chocolate cake on my mehndi hihi as I really dont like mithai!! Everyone wz "shocked":D

I hate mattai as well...we don't even eat it that much here so I have no idea what the good ones are. One of my friends told me about Patissa..?...Do people like that? I'm so confused cuz the only mattai I like are the ones people hate apparently like the pink and green ones..cham chams (i think)!

Re: Good Mattai for shaadi?

If you don't like traditional desi mitthai, don't get it. You are the one who is doing the eating, afterall. I've seen wedding where people have had chocolates, m&ms, berries, dried fruits, etc. Be creative.

^ I agree! I'm not a mithai fan either! Don't know how those poor brides cope with soo much mithai! I'm keeping hershey's kisses!

Re: Good Mattai for shaadi?

However too much chocolate can have the same sickening effect....I would have a variety of things as Sahar suggested.

I would have ladoos,barfi,skittles,minstrels,maltesers,fruit...mmm

^ I can never have enuff chocolate =(

Re: Good Mattai for shaadi?

hehe I knew you would say that:cb:before you even said…I find too much chocolate sickly. If not straight away, you definitely feel it later

^ LOL I'll get a variety of hershey's! Cookies n cream, milk choc, dark choc, white choc etc..

Re: Good Mattai for shaadi?

^ Ohhhh! How about chocolate-dipped strawberries?

impressed

Re: Good Mattai for shaadi?

how about if you're a fruit fanatic :o would it be wierd to have my fav fruits cut nicely along with mithai :o i mean there's a lot of colourful fruits out there (and the brighter the better coz of all the antioxidents, i'd be glowing at the end of the night :D)

Re: Good Mattai for shaadi?

^ That's what my BIL & SIL did a few weeks ago -- berries, dried fruits, and very few traditional mithais.

Re: Good Mattai for shaadi?

I'm not a huge mithai fan either. PLUS! what about all the weight one looses for the wedding! one piece of mithai has like 300 calories! lol! c'mon girls, we all need to fit in our valimay ka dress!

lol!:p
