I am a very very average looking person; for some below average as well BUT I’ve never been discriminated at work because of my looks… It’s what you are good in.. that’s what counts… Trust me! But again, it also depends on the nature of work.. I mean for example:

  • If you are applying for a PIA air hostess (assuming you are female) then, it is imperative that your looks are below average:phati:

  • If you are applying as a secretary (for a desi person, again assuming that you are a female), then you should be exceptionally above average:halo:

Notice, this problem is mostly faced by females of our society :clown:

everyone is pretty/good looking in its own way... u might see one guy/girl ugly but someone else might find them really attractive in some other way..

this is NOT true....some people do NOT have more than others.

its just that we all have different things.....one person may have good looks but then have a horrible family.....another person may not be good looking but have a really nice family....etc.etc.

so we all have the same .....just in different forms....and it doesnt have to be material things....sometimes non material things mean much more.....

Good looking ppl may get a “kick start” but in long run, it always depends on the qualification and inner self of persons.

So had this world been 100m race, good looking ppl would have been the winners but fortunately life is a long race where good looks can give you a startup boost but winner is always the one with better qualifications and better inner self.

Umm most of the managers, VP, CEO, Assistant VP's etc...in my office are damn ugly and old...but some of them are decent looking. I really don't think looks has everything to do with it, its more personality, charisma, knowledge base....also brown-nosing with the right folks and how slick you play the game to climb the ladder.

How does one define ‘beauty’? A lot of individuals that I consider beautiful are not considered beautiful by others and similarly, I cannot find beauty in many, who are thought of as extremely beautiful according to the beauty standards set by our cultures. Personally, I think everyone is beautiful until he/she proves it otherwise through his/her actions, thoughts and behaviors. Everyone is equal for Allah :swt: anyways like it is said, ‘kisi goray ko kaalay per aur kisi kaalay ko goray per koi fauqiat hasil nahi hai.’

Saying that, so called ‘beautiful’ people live in bliss whereas those ‘not-so-beautiful’ ones suffer, is obviously not true because the vice versa situations exist as well depending on what kind of fate has Allah :swt: written for one. It can also depend on what kind of people and opportunities one comes across during his/her lifetime. It is very much possible for someone ‘not-so-beautiful’ to end up having a well-established life along with a loving and caring family just as it is possible for someone ‘beautiful’ to end up in slums, astaghfirullah.

Also, to say that those who are considered ‘not-so-beautiful’ are not truly happy regardless of there life and family status is an unwise generalization because happiness does not depend on looks.

I don't think so looks matters if u have talent.in some bussineses it does matter but not most of the time.Talent hona chahiye her cheez ke liye i strongly believe.shakl to ALLAH ki dein hai is se koii farq nahi parta ke kaun kaisa hai .IKhlaq,talent ,brain is everything.aur HADEES ka mafhoom bhi to khcuh is tarah hai "kaley ko goaray per goray ko kaley per kii fazilat nah"hamein ALLAH ka sujar ada kerna chahiye
