Well, nobody can be a good husband or a good wife to start out with, it develops with time and circumstances, and most importantly willingness and effort.

1- these are some of the key characteristics for either spouse
2- needs.. not wants. I have seen several cases where is issues are on wants ..a la need a house, but want a big house in a specific suburb, need a safe car, but want a luxury car. u probably have seen it too.
3- every single thing in the list has to be mutual, a husband cant sacrifice for his wife, while she fails to do so, and in my view if a husband continues to sacrifice and the wife does not he is an idiot for not talking some sense into her.

2. Marriages go sour when wants becomes unrealistic, and way greater than the desires. Totally agree.
3. I was talking about my husband. I would like to believe that yes, maybe I am "lucky" but maybe I too put in some effort, that's why we have what we have. Nothing is even one sided for a long period of time. Every human has their limits.

I agree that nothing is one sided but its not always equal effort has been put from both sides, and in spite of that, I've seen very successful marriages.
I think that #1 ingredient of the marriage must be gratitude, If wife puts all the effort and husband can at least start with honest gratitude, that means that marriage is on the right tracck

Sometimes TLK, in your first example, as an observer, you seem that it is a very successful marriage, but either one of the spouse is very tolerent or maybe frustrated...just has a handle on his/her attitude. Sometimes this is good, sometimes it can blow if it gets too far.
I also agree that if we don't appreciate, with deny Allah's blessings. And willingness to make something work out is always the best starting point.

I am taking it as platinum Aliyish but as I said secrifice from man:konfused: Bivi ki secrifices suno Apny waldyn ka ghar chorti hai shohar kehta hai bat nahi karo behan bhaion sy choor dyti hai. Ju ghreeb job kerti hain or apny kisi behan bhai ya burhy man bap ki khidmat kerna chahin tu woh manna ker dyta hy manna ho jati hain yeh qurbani hai meri nazar main. Or bacha pyda kerna Mard ki nasal brhan aorat kerti hai. Ghar or shohar ky liy apna career khatm ker dyti hai chor dyti hai. Ab shohar ki qurbani mery dimagh main nahi a rahi thi woh FBI786 ny battai and over there is chance:cb: he could go back to past excersis again
