can someone suggest a good foundation by a good brand which makes a desi skin complexion glowing and look fairer.because mostly (cheap ones) are visible on the face and you can see that its just make up.
i need a very good suggestion.thanks

What type of skin do you have ie dry, oily combination? Foundation will never make you look fairer, the purpose of foundation is to even out skin tone. You can use highlighters or blush to achieve a glow. Please always have a makeup artist color match you.

The only way to look lighter is by buying,applying a foundation that is a shade or 2 lighter than your own.

umm a trick is to apply vanishing cream mixed wid liquid foundation in case of normal skin....
dat gives a flawless,sun protected fair even complexion

I would recommend Bobby Brown it is an american brand and very natural looking, I use it all the time and you get no blotches.

I agree with belle...the purpose of foundation is to even out skin tone.....For me mac worked ....Ive been using it for the past 8 yrs and never looked back.The make up artist at the mac counter are very helpful they even do a full make for free if u buy any of their product.

Nars Sheer Glow is amazing....... using a little goes a long way and it makes the skin look naturally fresh.
As for looking fairer? As another poster said - your only luck with that would be to buy a foundation that is a shade or two lighter than your own.
i used etude liquid foundation and etude two way cake spf 25 , thats really good , recently i bought maybelline angelfit liquid foundation in natural buff shade and thats also a good choice ,its make my skin really soft and doesnt clog pores

I've been using Palladio. I love it. It is herbal based and I don't feel guilty wearing it since it's 8 dollars and it lasts forever. I use under the eyes and so it works fine as a concealer too.

I also bought a clinique foundation recently and really loved it. I got their free gift with cremes and and an illuminator. Awesome stuff.
When I take the time to do my make up RIGHT, I use oil of olay face moisturizer. Love it. Wear under the foundation. Offers sun protection too. Always have some sort of skin protection.
What foundations include sun protection?
I tried estee lauders foundation. I don't like it. Looks like I don't have anything on, doesn't even tone, and doesn't conceal anything.
Lancome - I use my mom's and love it but for some reason when I have them try it on me, I don't like the way it looks. You can see the powder.

this is not an easy query but i personally think dat the combinaton of diff tones means by mixing 2 tones foundation u can get ur desirious skin tones if if u r nt getting rite1.....in europe many cheap local brands sometimes offer very beautiful tones...dont know abut rest of countries though...try bobbi brown but dat is xpensive offcourse....
