This may be a thread that is already active - however I could not find it. I found one that talked about bad experiences with designers - wanted to know if anyone had any good ones?
Re: Good Experiences With Pakistani Designers
I'm not sure if my experience counts, but I got my wedding dress from Karma in 2009 and I had a pretty good experience even though I only dealt with the sales lady. They were willing to bring down the price of the dress significantly with only minor changes, let me change the color of the Gharara from the original dress and everything arrived on time. The fitting was fantastic on first try. The only thing was the stupid sales lady suggested for me to exercise my curvy figure off,, erm thanks but no thanks since I'm naturally curvy and couldn't afford to get any skinnier plus my husband preferred it haha, ok off topic.
Re: Good Experiences With Pakistani Designers
wow m glad atleast on one +ve review !! looking forward to hearing more of such reviews !!! :)
Re: Good Experiences With Pakistani Designers
I’m glad you said this! I’ve been thinking about ordering from Karma for a while, and I’ve emailed them a few times with good responses. Would love to get a bridal from them too (if I can afford it!) so I’m glad they were willing to lower price.
As for the sales lady, well aunties be aunties! ![]()
Re: Good Experiences With Pakistani Designers
If you want to get a bridal from them I would suggest that it should be done in person in Pakistan because you can run a risk of being overcharged if they find out you are not from there. My order was considered a fast track and I placed it about two months before my wedding. Don’t give them the exact date of your wedding, instead pretend its like 10 days before it actually is. This gives you that extra time period just in case.
The sales lady wasn’t even an aunty lol!
Re: Good Experiences With Pakistani Designers
Thank you, Bisoux. Any more positive reviews?
Re: Good Experiences With Pakistani Designers
I had a below average experience with Sana Safinaz. If you're abroad, do NOT order. They got the colour wrong, the kaam on the trail was missing, they overcharged me and I've still not had an apology or response to my complaint.
I would still recommend them but perhaps I am ridiculously biased as I love the brand so only order if you can travel out to see them.
Had an amazing experience with Rani Emaan. Their customer service was excellent and the dress they sent us was beyond beautiful. Would definitely recommend them.
Re: Good Experiences With Pakistani Designers
nice for a change....I am sure more people have good experiences rather than bad...however it is the bad ones that generally stick to our minds!!!
Re: Good Experiences With Pakistani Designers
i agree! i think its a great idea to share some positive experiences. I have not ordered from a designer myself, but I would love to hear other about other people's experiences.
@Afsoon, did you order from abroad or did you visit Rani Emaan's shop?
Re: Good Experiences With Pakistani Designers
I recently placed my order with karma and Nomi. I love karma for the services they provide + the price tags are reasonable. I ordered my bridal and 2 formals for my sisters. I have 10/11 heavy formals from them which shows how much I love wearing Karma.
I am getting my Mayun outfit by Nomi. My sisters went to his studio in Karachi and ordered two formals. Nomi was there himself and was very co operative.
I hope this helps :)
I live in Canada… contacted them on FB to place my order and got the outfit ready and in hand just a bit over a month later.

Where in Karachi is Nomi's outlet located? He wasn't too responsive through email. Also, any idea of his price range? I'll be going to Karachi in a month and wanted to take appointments with designers thatpeople have had good experiences with and are affordable. So please people, bring in your suggestions
Re: Good Experiences With Pakistani Designers
Yes I am in Karachi. I booked my appointment and then my sisters visited his studio somewhere at teen talwar. You can contact Imran (0300 2000890) and book your appointment with him. They have all his outfits there from which you can choose.
