We have our 3rd wedding anniversary coming up in the middle of December and I’m planning on surprising her with a trip to a resort in one of the islands or maybe a cruise. This will be a good break for both of us from our daily routine and give us opportunity to get away from it all. I’m planning on going towards end of december and use up the week of our christmas and new years day holidays.
I know a good trip and tight budget don’t really go well together, but you gotta have fun once in a while too. So if you know of any place we can get some good package deals for 2 to the islands or maybe a trip to florida, then please share.
Are you thinking of the Caribbean or some other island like the Maldives? If the Caribbean, which island? Cuba? Cozumel? Turks & Caicos? Has Florida recovered from the hurricanes yet? Where are you from so that people can recommend different travel agents?

Actually I have just started looking into it so I don't know much about these islands, so anything nice would do and if you have personal experience being in one, it would be great to know how it went. I'm looking into islands like Bahama, Hawai, Jamaica, Hawaii etc....something nice and peaceful.
Jamaica is really beautiful ... but you wouldn't be able to leave the resort much for safety reasons. Bahamas is also stunning, lots to do there, but more pricey .... same for Hawaii.
Cruises can be fun too and you can visit different islands every day of the trip.
