We need to buy new daighcheez/cooking pots. Ive been looking in macy’s, crate n barrel and william sonoma but cant seem to find any that have a heavy base. Even the really expensive ones have thinner bases so when we cook with tomatoes or slow cook like haleem etc it always gets burnt at the bottom. Any suggestions? Also i prefer glass lids so i can see the status inside without having to open thelid and release the steam again and again.
Re: Good daighcheez/pots
Calphalon?
Re: Good daighcheez/pots
I prefer non stick my self but the base/painda is still quite thin :(
Re: Good daighcheez/pots
Calphalon pans have quite a thick base and even sides and they are non-stick and they do come with glass lids too.
Re: Good daighcheez/pots
Well, i have this really cute degchi from VISIONS, its all glass. You can see what is the status of the salan inside. But the trouble is that when the water is reduced and I try to bhoonafy the masala it sticks to the bottom and sometimes get burned. I prefer cooking chawal in it. Its quite heavy though.
