Good and bad??

Hello all guppis

I think “no religion” is good or bad.
Its always the people, their thoughts and actions that are good or bad.
I think I am right. Well atleast,I think so

There is a religion forum to discuss such topics..i'm moving this there.

I agree Purple.

Religion's are good. Even if you don't subscribe to any religion, you should be able to appreciate the reformations and revolutions undertaken by Prophets and other righteous men and women. You should be able to see the value in the teachings of Jesus, in the Ten Commandments, in the writings of Buddha, in the works of the saints, in the life and actions of Muhammad. The task undertaken by these individuals was revolutionary in nature. And if you don't believe in their connection with the divine, at least you can respect the ardous task they undertook to reform societies for the better. Their motivations were anything but altruistic, they were motivated by feelings of intense love for all of humanity.

Its a pity that their teachings have been mis-construed and mis-understood. There are some convincing arguments which place the blame for everything from war to the current environmental crisis on the shoulders of those who have convoluted the messages of these great people for their own interest. But I agree, its not the message or messenger, but rather some drive in certain humans to pollute the teachings for their own benefit.

Achtung ;)

So very true. But why cannot we understand it and think rationally. It was so sad to hear about man slaughter that is going on in Pakistan. Innocent people (both Shias and sunnis) are both being killed in the name of religion. Our religion does not teach this but the actions of muslims are so. Looks like most of muslims are only naam ke musalams. I guess the fight is not for religion but in the name of religion for the POWER!

Thanks

What the hell is wrong with SSP?
Don't they know that the founder of pakistan was a shia himself? If the knew that they probably would have killed him also.
