Golden Globes 2006

Well, here is a complete list of the nominees:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/4524762.stm

I am really glad Pride and Prejudice and Memoirs of a Geisha are up for awards. :hula: I haven’t seen Narnia yet so I can’t comment on that. I think Eva Longoria deserves an award for her role in Desperate Housewives - I will be very annoyed if over-rated Teri Hatcher gets it… again. Rome is another HBO classic that was really well done … did anybody watch it? I hope it is recognized at these awards! Naveen Andrews also better get an award for his role in Lost, he certainly deserves it.

Re: Golden Globes 2006

Did anybody watch it last night?

I think Keira Knightly looked gorgeous. I didn't like Charlize's dress, and Alanis Morisette looks weird as a blonde.

I liked those hair broaches so many of them were wearing. I need to get one of those to wear.

Naveen Andrews didn't win the Emmy, :( , but I'm glad Lost won in the best drama category.

Re: Golden Globes 2006

A lot of peple were very nicely dressed. There were two people wearing a lime green colored dress which I
Drew Barrymore should have worn some support - she looked horrendous!!! But none of the outfits really stood out. The color the red headed chick from Desp Housewives was wearing was pretty. Eva Longoria’s outfit was boring. Teri Hatcher’s was unique and looked good on her. Kiera is such a skinny stick figure that it just looked like someone wrapped a white sheet around her and tied it w/ a silver ribbon. Harrison Ford still looks good! How does he do that?? I love the way Johnny Depp just wears what he likes. He was looking quite a sexy stud in Red!

Re: Golden Globes 2006

I don't think any of the DH women looked that great. Especially the red head, I remember J-Lo wearing something similar a few years ago.

I don't recall seeing Drew Barrymore at all. Reese Witherspoon looked simple and elegant as did Jessica Alba, but I didn't like their hair styles.

Re: Golden Globes 2006

As usual ladies are discussing people and gentlemen are discussing nominees :p

Re: Golden Globes 2006

^^ Woman, you are impossible to please.

This was for Mehnaz.

Re: Golden Globes 2006

I havn't seen or heard of most of what was up for nomination apart from Chronicals of Narnia and Desparate housewives, shame. I did happen to catch Mr. Clooney on BBC Breakfast this morning though, and my goodness me, he's becoming almost as good looking as Sean Connary!

Rachel Weisz looked stunning too.

Re: Golden Globes 2006

All the pics you wanna see … and more :-p

Re: Golden Globes 2006

keira looked gorgeous. she glowed. i remember reading an interview of hers in a mag where she said she eats all the pasta she wants HAHA SHUTUP!

Re: Golden Globes 2006

He was looking very Cary Grant-ish.
Rachel did look good for her to be 5 months pregnant!

I don’t understand the industry’s fascination with a gay cowboy story :konfused:

Re: Golden Globes 2006

saby - the Constant Gardener was boring - much like The English Patient plot. Scarlett Johansson got robbed, to be honest. Have you seen Match Point? Chick is on a roll with films like Girl With a Pearl Earring, Lost In Translation, In Good Company under her belt. And I can’t wait to see her in “A Good Woman” against Helen Hunt!

As for Walk the Line, check this
