moms just want their daughters to be financially secure. they want them to enjoy the finer things in life. perhaps they think money makes a person happy....and yea for some it does.
like the saying goes....."love wont pay the bills"....it's true. however there is much more to life then money...other things should be taken into consideration when looking for a partner for your daughter.....not just his bank account.
If that were true there wouldn't have been any Hiltons, Hashwanis, Tatas or other empires in this world. Mostly, money is not important to those people who don't have to earn it themselves.
As a general rule of thumb, Love doesnt keep you fed, watered or too happy. Think of all the heartbreak that comes with intense emotional investment - o and before you go "hatin" on mothers that want the best for their children feel free to pay the bills, get a mortgage, dine out and still be dressed as well as you were the month afore.
I think in the real world where most "adults" live, they call it pragmatism. Also, there are women genuinely attracted to guys with money. Some are attracted to guys with strong jaws, some to the power that financial security brings - you (in my humble opinion) are not qualified to judge whether that is a good thing or a bad thing. - And lets face it folks, we all get who we deserve.
In a real world one must keep in mind that man/boy should be able to make sure that his wife/family has all what is needed to spend a normal (not like filthy rich neither like a pauper's) life. So a guy with adequate income & reasonable education can do that, running after doctors or lawyers just they earn more is "greed".
