^You'd have to insert the ton of cash into the vending machine to get the gold bar and coins.
I know that people will buy gold bars or invest in gold because it increases in value.
I visited Dubai last year in Dec...and it's a very clean and modern coutnry. But also reminds me of a ghost-town with its numerous beautiful apartment buildings (that look like hotels) and that are more than half empty.
The ostentatious display of wealth...and materialism.....is ridiculous and kinda scary (considering the economic conditions).
