i think the poster said the inlaws dun want her to wear real gold on valima... nowhere did she specify that they will NOT b givin her gold set. i think she cud make a deal. let them give her valima set but she wudnt wear it. but she shud definitely get gold set from boy side. trust me, there are so many nice artificial sets in market that you wudnt regret it much.

as u said ur mehandi and wedding day jewellery is from ur family side...and u r going to put them than why not on walima??
well ...now before deciding WHAT TO PUT..plzz let them know that u want real jewellery for ur walima..and if they are concerned about jewellery than u can put any fake one..but PLZZ GET ur REAL jewellery from them before walima..

I just wanted to get peoples opinion on this.
The guy’s side is saying that at the velima they do not want the bride to wear real jewellery due to the security situation. The wedding and mendhi is in Lahore and the bride will real stuff given to her by her family.
We have never head of this before so just wanted to ask if this is the done thing???
