I’m confused, I know artificial looks good but gold is the jewellery the bride usually wears. Would it look wrong not to wear gold? Or is it better I get gold. Also does anybody know of any good places in Lahore or Karachi for artificial jewellery? Thank!

It won't look wrong if you wore artificial. Very few brides wear gold these days anyway. May be you can get something made out of a catalogue design that you like.

if the gold Jewelry you have looks pretty and matches your clothes, wear that. If it does not, then get something artificial made.
If you have not bought gold jewelry as yet, then consider ordering artificial and invest in more wearable sets in gold to wear in the future.

I haven't bought gold yet, I think I will buy artificial, just worried it may look wrong as in-laws are getting gold for me to wear on walima.

what do your parents say? i don't think wearing artificial should be a problem. Just do whatever your family is financially comfortable in and leave the rest to Allah.

Mum said whatever I like although she thinks artificial would look nicer as it matches better then she would give me the gold separately. I'm just worried what in-laws might think. They are giving me gold to wear for walima, if I didn't wear it on barat and wear it on walima would it look bad?

No. These days it's about what looks good. Nobody is doing the 5 sets that my mum and mil gave me. It's about 1 set that matches the dress for a polished look.

sweety, if your mum is giving you a set separately, then don't worry about it. get the artificial set of your choice for the wedding and look pretty, InshaAllah. <3

nothing beats real, however these days the imitations are really great....would boil down to what a person can afford.
