It's personal choice if someone wants someone educated or not. I dont know when it became gold-digging to want someone who is a professional or educated. Many people I know desire that.
At the same time I dont want someone who only wants me because I can provide a pay-check. I think for that reason my preference is to marry someone who wont care either way what I do, rather than demanding that I work. But it boils down to everyones personal preference.
