I am going to Pakistan/ Lahore in August ( Just for a month) for my Nikkah. Its most probably going to be a big event. I was wondering what color is ‘IN’ other than red. I want to save red color for my wedding day ( or may be not). I wont be taking any clothes from over here ( Georgia, US) because I dunt think taking stuff from over here and than bringing it back with lot of new stuff is a good idea ( there is always a weight limit on Luggage).
I was wondering if I could get really stylish readymades from places with reasonable prices. You know I might be hanging out with the ’ new husband’ after Nikkah. SO I want to make sure that I look good.
Any suggestions on the color of the dress for my Nikkah ( which is going to be from guy’s side. atleast I can tell them color).. Also where do I shop from for stylish shalwar kameez with reasonale prices
Thanks a lot for the link. Its helpful. I have been to nirali magazine website before. and I went to liberty for shopping 2 years ago when I was visiting pakistan.
Do you guys know about 'babar botique' in Anarkali. I heard they are really good at bridal dresses but not sure about it. I heard my in laws buy clothes from over there too. I wonder if they coud buy my dress from Zardozi or Libs-e-khas.
what do u guys think of Babar botique in anarkali?
Congrats Cherry! My nikkah is in June as well and I was soooo conflicted with what colors to choose since red is for the rukhsati. Nilofer Shahid is making my clothes and she has chosen some gorgeous shades. You should really go and visit a couple of designers to get ideas.
Thanks shay. congrat to you too and good luck. My problem is i have a little time in pakistan, just one month. During which i have nikah ceremony, have to meet all my friends n family and wont get a lot of time 4 shopping. When you are dealing with designers you have to allow them enough time to work on ur dress. I am all packed up with classes during summer n fall semesters. Thts why i have so little time to go to pakistan. Also i was thnking about going 4 pinks or somthng wth peach pinks. How does tht sound. I personally dunt like ferozi

hey shay congrats,so ur gettin married then (matlab nikkah ho geya samjho shaadi hogi)lol.
And congrats to you too cherry, the best thing is to leave it to ur in-laws “the nikkah outfit” cz im sure they’ll come up with sumthin really good.but then you want the colour of ur own choice go for PINK…
pinks looks perfect for the engagement nikkah ceremonies
wont suggest you peach bcz it looks too dull in the pictures, and the make-up personally i’ve never seen somethin too wow with peach…
So, GO FOR PINK… :k:
And for some casual or formal wear try to buy the ready made stuff, bcz of the load sheddin in Pakistan im sure the darzi etc will really irritate u...And you have less time.don't bother goin to darzi's.
i guess you can get the ready made stuff from liberty lahore, or try anarkali.
Yeah right I was thinking the same thing about Darzis. Two years ago when I was in Pakistan, Darzi got me retarded. I had most of my clothes stiched from the same darzi and he got me retarded. All the shirts were in different sizes. So i ll stay away from darzis.
yeh I ll probably go to liberty... and anarkali doesnt have standard readymades that i have been looking for.
About Peach pink.... I got to see Bridal pictures from other thread .... some brides were in peach pinks too. I really like two of the bridal dresses and both were peach pink....
