Hey Tweety,
I know exactly how you feel. Most of my life I've traveled with my family to Pak and I've never felt scared. The last time I went to Pak with family was 5 years ago and I remember feeling concerned about safety. But Alhumdolillah it went well.
Do you know that there is a hadith that states that a traveler's dua is always accepted. So pray for your safety. And recite the Ayatul Kursi and three Quls. Get the insect repellent from UK. Keep in mind that fragrances attract mosquitoes. So, if you are prone to being plagued by mosquitoes you might want to go easy on the perfume and opt for a non-scented antiperspirant deodorant.
My family usually packs certain medicines with them prior to leaving for Pakistan. This can include Tylenol/Panadol, something for uset stomach/diarrhea, sore throat/cold medicines, vitamins. It's just an emergency precaution and a helpful one.
And if it makes you feel a bit better.......my dad was only in Pakistan a few days ago and Alhumdolillah it was a safe journey.
