Going to NYC

Will be coming to NYC - Bronx specifically, for the first time…any tips or suggestions?

I will be going to montefiore hospital…any Pak restaurant nearby? I’ll be there only for the day.

I recommend you take the subway to Manhattan or Queens- lots of great places to eat. Also, if you are visiting from Pakistan, I recommend you try some of the other cuisines; you'll have plenty of Pakistani food when you return. One day does not give you much time for site seeing though.

You’re out of luck if you want specifically Pakistani and want to stay in the vicinity of Montefiore…the only Paki restaurants I know are on Pelham parkway (about 15-20 minute drive)… if you relaly want only Pakistani you’re better going to Queens or Brooklyn.

I remember right by Montefiore there were a few halal carts…Jerome avenue is closeby, you’re bound to find something if you’re hungry there’s halal fried chicken not too far away, pizza, then the typical subway/mcDonalds/burger king etc.
