These events, for simplicity’s sake let’s call them speed dating, happen all over, US and Canada where kids want to make their own decisions concerning their marriages. As for rishta maasi just because they’re the wives of whoever doesn’t make the work they do any specialerer. They are doing what has been done throughout history. I’m not knocking them off, but I am saying that stop talking about them like they’re something completely unique that you’ve only come across.

I know they are not unique. And I know there are many many rishta maasis working in USA also. Its just my opinion that some girls might not like the idea of such events. Anyways, its personal choice if a girl/ guy is ok with these events.
