going to hajj and saying pardon to everyone

some one asked me, why do people do that? is there a point in askin for an apology then?
where were their mind when they were being insensitive to people?
or should they be listened to?

i am not sure what the answer is?
any thoughts?

Re: going to hajj and saying pardon to everyone

I think to ask for forgiveness is a good thing
a better thing is to try and do something right
e.g. if someone embezzled some money from a relative and then years later apologizes, well put your money where your mouth is and try to make ammends. return the money or as much as you are able to

I never understood the khali kholi apology business, especially when its done right before travel or Hajj and in public, like what option does the person have but to say oh frikkin fine, u are forgiven for robbing me.

Re: going to hajj and saying pardon to everyone

To err is human and we all make mistakes which we tend to forget. I think to ask forgiveness at any time is good and to ask for it before going to HAJJ is just like BETTER LATE THAN NEVER.

dr sufi , but forgiveness needs to be sincere and a sincere apology is where the person wants to do something to fix their wrong as well.

Re: going to hajj and saying pardon to everyone

Absolutely. I agree 100%.

i think when someone asks forgiveness before going to umra or jajj you should forgive them, ive seen people who dont forgive but walk out of the room.

Re: going to hajj and saying pardon to everyone

^ Its really rude on their part.

Re: going to hajj and saying pardon to everyone

Everybody is different but I don't think it's easy to forgive and forget.

Re: going to hajj and saying pardon to everyone

dr sufi and fraudia, i would agree totally with what you said about sincere apology, fixing the wrong done and the one who is apologizd to, patiently listen to the apology and if possible, accept it as genuine.

thanks everyone for sharing your perspectives on this.
