Free deliveries? No way. McDonald's charge 3 AED if you order online, 5 if you order by phone. BK, KFC, Pizza Hut all charge 5 AED.
Good restaurants in Dubai are a plenty. You wouldn't need recommendations. Just get here, then ask what type of cuisine you'll like, maybe then I can zero in on few names.
Bur Dubai area is horrendous. It is only good if you're going to travel by Metro trains a lot. Otherwise there is traffic, there are a lot of people there, car honking, congestion etc. There is shopping there, but in my opinion, live somewhere else and go to Bur Dubai, get your shopping done and come back. Then again it depends on what your hotel budget is. Bur Dubai and Deira have the cheapest hotel rates in Dubai, along with Qusais and Nahda, but there's nothing to do in Qusais and Nahda.
Best place to stay in Dubai is Barsha, if you're talking about hotels. Especially near to Mall of the Emirates area. New Dubai in general has all the good and best hotels in Dubai. From Burj Al Arab, Armani Hotel to Atlantis.
Hi,
I am planning to visit dubai for 4 nights with family and was wondering if someone could recommend me a good area where I can book a hotel.
What do you think of the Bur Area?
And also if someone can recommend me some good restaurant and do the fast food (MacDonald, burger king, ) do free deliveries.

We always stay in Hotels on JBR or rent an apartment at the marina.
Going in march Inshallah and was gonna do a few days at one of the the Jumeirah brand hotels as they give access to Wild Wadi, then was looking at hotel apartments in Bur Dubai as I haven't really bin down that end or seen Meena Bazaar. Have been to Karama and Naïf market once. But I thought since we haven't really ventured down that area, then it would be more convenient to stay there but hadn't realised It would be so busy, I wouldn't really travel on metro with the kids so that's out, always use taxis.
So you think Barsha? I was looking at places there but thought they would be too far from Meena Bazaar. How far are they from each other?
Also any other places to explore? Have done the usual dhow dinner cruise, dessert safari, fountains and Burj Khalifa. My husband doesn't want to go as he said we have seen it all and should go somewhere else, but I really like it there. Have been about 5 time in the last 10 years.
I visited Dubai in summers and we booked Tulip Creek Apartments in Deira. It was at a 5 minutes walk to Deira metro station and the Deira City Centre. Very convenient to stay esp with family and kids.
