I thought some of friends are in dubai but when i checked with em they told they are actually in abu dhabi lol and they said they can take day off from work and drive to dubai which is abt 450KMs lol, i thanked them and told them there is really no need to put such a an effort lol we ll catch up in pakistan some time.

few friends are in sharjah, one friend who lives there just came back here in australia today or i would gone to his place. . .hmmmm i m going to his see him now in 15mins lol .. .. .. oh well i m gonna have to wander the streets of dubai alone i guess, lol

don’t go to dubai mall yet. there are a lot of things that need to be set up, lots more stores that are opening. plus, it feels claustrophobic. and dark. the only good thing there is the aquarium…and the skating rink. oh and if you do go to dubai mall, don’t forget to stare at the burj dubai once you get out of the mall.

if you reeeeeeally wanna go to a mall, head to dubai festival city, or mall of emirates. those places are nice.

thanks for the tips :), but yar i have no interest in mall or shopping etc.. . . i ll try to find some good place to eat and get some good scenic views like beach etc

I suggest you double check.

They do give transit-visa…on a further destination confirmed ticket but at a cost. Visit EMIRATES website which says it all…

i still havnt checked with Emirates yet but all my friends are telling me the same thing that i ll be ar rite to go out as I have to go out to my hotel any way. I ll get a voucher from emirates office at sydney airport and they ll stamp it when i leave airport at dubai giving me 72-96hrs visa

Thanks for the karachi invitation, never been there but i really want to see karachi, may be this summer.

any way . . .dubai .. .i didnt like it much .. . .dubai immigration is worst like. . .no one checked me soo in detail any where(bangkok, sydney) . . .like in dubai .. .wasted my blaady 1hr .. .eye scan and strip search and what not .. .lol i was looking like a gangster any way .. .lol . . .very rude ppl all wearing white skirts . .. damn

Hotel was no too far .. .. .. mellinium it was i think

my cousin is so angey at me, i didnt check with them .. . i thought they are in sharjah .. .but they are in dubai actually. . .lol .. .shaaiyze happens .. . .

Yeah yeah. You and your lovely Dubai. Where nothing bad happens, the locals are awesome and doing your job “right” means strip searching someone.

Lafanter: If you dont mind me asking, what passport were you on? I went on a Canadian passport and was hassled but I’ve heard people on Pakistani passports have been harassed (fingerprint, footprint, searches, etc).
