Going on holiday inshallah in december and i need a book that i need to read on the beach..oh yeah that kind of holiday…going for 3 weeks inshallah so come on people…help me…
It should be addictive and kind of a book that you cant put down and ofcourse it has to be in English.
Last book that i was truely addicted to and was one of my fav was “Thousand Splendid Suns” by Khalid Housseini…one word AMAZING!! I was so addicted that my husband was dragging me and nagging me to go out…
I'm assuming you have read the Kite Runner, if not, then definitely read it.
Another book is Angela's Ashes by Frank McCourt, its a bit depressing but its very addictive. I found that his subsequent books were not as good as the first.
People say "A suitable boy" its a very long book, so good for hols. I remember reading it as a teenager, but I couldn't finish it. Would like to read it now i think.
Also, " I am David" by Ann Holm.
Twopence to cross the Mersey" and the entire series, apparently true story about the author, again very sad, now I wonder how much of it was exaggerated!
A book one might find addictive might not be so addictive to other. That being said , I have read many books , Roots by Alex Haley is the only book which I found addictive for me so far. Roots: The Saga of an American Family - Google Book Search
