Going from gas to electric stoves

Has anyone here ever gone from cooking on a gas stove to an electric stove?

What are some adjustments you need to make?

My MIL has an electric stove and the few times I tried to make something, it didn’t work out right. A salan that takes me usually 15-20 minutes would take an hour…water would boil after 20 minutes etc.

any tips on how to adjust and what to change?

The major difference is that when you adjust Gas levels it takes effect within seconds .. but with Electric stoves , you have to preempt if its getting too hot , then decide earlier on that you need to reduce heat coz its only going to take effect a few minutes later ...
