Re: Gohar Ayoub: Nawaz wanted to arrest CJ Sajjad Ali Shah
Yeah man, I’d love to get it asap too! Yesterday there was an ad in the paper and I found out its published by Sang-e-meel Pub in urdu? Though I was under the impression and eagerly waiting for the English title which was announced 2-3 months ago “glimpses into the corridors…” by OUP?
yup..I think it’s out already. I went to the Oxford bookshop here but I was a little late and they had just closed but I saw a poster on the main door. So it’s out definitely. Not sure about the Urdu version.
On a related topic, has anyone read “Encounters with Destiny” ](http://www.oup.com/us/catalog/general/subject/HistoryWorld/Pakistan/?view=usa&ci=9780195471427 ) By Javed Iqbal?
This book translates the autobiography of Pakistani writer, philosopher, and jurist Javid Iqbal. Including a candid look at relations with his father, the world renowned poet and visionary, who conceived the idea of Pakistan as an independent homeland for Indian Muslims, the book spans his personal experience over eighty years. It provides an insight into the political turmoil that led to the creation of Pakistan as well as the subsequent politial, judicial, and cultural developments in his native land.
