In my opinion nothing thats not good for us anyway…
Considering that, does it matter to her if we do whats appropriate, for ourselves, rather then for her.

We really don't know if God exists. If it does it really does not care one way or the other. God is within us (our conscious) which guides and allows us to seperate good from bad. Do onto others as you want to do to you is a good principle to follow.

Well God does exist as much as we do...What she might be is another question..
If nothing else she exists as a potent entity created in minds,,,,
There are only two reasons for us to get such thoughts...Either it helps us complete a picture taht has empty spots..
Or it is a logical conclusion of either primary or secondary process thinking..
What we can safely say though is that there is no evidence or logical process through which we can deduce God with the properties conventionally attributed to her...

So now the question is, Would she be satsfied if we do the right thing for her.....or doing it for ourselves is good enuff..(i.e Do we take God as a selfish entity , with her interests more important then anyhting else)

can God be selfish? i doubt it. if she isnt, then our doing things for ourselves without hurting others is good enough. what interests can she have that dont agree with happiness for everyone? i sincerely believe that an atheist who lives a peaceful life helping others will be dearer to God than a believer who flatters her daily with prayers and rituals, but cant get along well with his fellow humans.

I think most of the time we think what God wants from us is what we think he/she/it wants from us. And the rest of the rare times, we don't think.
