God

Re: God

As a kid Ayat-ul-Kursi would be the most comforting dua. It was my one force against monsters and all evil beings. It was also very comforting especially when i knew a beating from my parents or my teacher at school is imminent and unavoidable.

And it still is.

Re: God

Hi ssingh, these are are your comments below, with reference as others can have a look what suprises me is, what has made you change or deviate from these comments, whats the thought process behind it.

Re: God

who is an agnost??..an agnostic can be a theist as well as an atheist. and i like it that way.

@slave of allah…

Hopefully this answers your queries also. I was just telling different views that i have.

Re: God

I can take that thanks.

Re: God

This dhaga was supposed to share, how one perceived God in childhood.

Re: God

:D .......sure...i used to perceive it as though someone who keeps flying in heaven and who sits somewhere in heaven, who could come down to earth (no offense to some),who sends messengers(again no offense to some) and blah blah.

Re: God

Singh I would agree to your viewpoints to some extent.

I agree with your statements that universe always existed and everything happens according to the laws of nature.

Who created universe and what was the objective behind its creation ?

There seems to be a supreme power which runs the whole universe and people have different names for it. Who conceived HIM and delivered HIM...I don't know but at the same time even I am not convinced that HE always existed.

There are some who wrongly and strongly believe that history started only 1400 years back and before that nothing existed in this world. (No offense meant here)

It is common for us mortals to take shelter behind convenient explanations such as everything is created by GOD when evidence can't be shown.

Heaven or Hell, it is around you...it depends upon your conduct.

But afterall it is an interesting and time pass activity.:)

Re: God

Our Universe(there are infinitely many) was born 15 billion years ago, and will be destroyed after 22 billion years. Atleast, that's what the scientists say.(There is still no proof however, it's just one of the theories)

Re: God

Last I heard from a Hare Krishna devotee (A gora) that there are many such earths, with human population in this Universe.

Re: God

That is really questionable.
In a few years, WE might be able to create the BIG-BANG in our laboratories.
( Scientists believe that the Universe began with the Big Bang)

Re: God

haha... no, I am speaking abt what scientists believe....
They say that there are infinitely many Universes, each of them being infitely huge( as Gravity bends space-time), each of them cut off from the others.
There are plenty of theories regarding this, but one of them says that if you get sucked into a Black-Hole(you obviously won't be alive), you will be transported to another Universe, at a speed faster than the speed of light.
And this also brings us to time-travelling......
(This is NOT entirely sci-fi)
