That is fine you can believe what you like. At least atheism and paganism share a common quality. It presents a problem to me however to undertake that approach for the reason that if you believe you have become god or others believe that about you, will demand worship from them or would worship yourself? If there are rivals in your god system and what it means to have become a god according to your belief presents itself to be a very strange and complex belief.
