No dear Southie, questions can only be answered by people who have thinking minds, relevant information and they understand it as well. All others be they theists or atheists, secularists or religious just reinstate their positions due to doctored indoctrination. It all depends how we ourselves have been indoctrinated and how we indoctrinate our future generations and to what end. The point I am trying to put across is, there is a better way to deal with all this which can settle most of our issues if not all.
Because I have studied only the quran and islam in a bit of detail I talk about the quran but I have read about other scriptures and religions as well I can see the misinterpretations and misrepresentations. I also have a bit of knowledge about science and philosophy as well. I don’t refer to personalities but ideas and rules as basis and anything that fits that is fine and anything that does not fit the rules is not proper. The best thing is rules of wisdom to base all arguments upon.
You will on this very forum people argue for ever and ever over little issues and still cannot decide about them because they do not follow proper rules rules properly.
Look at argument over what is lawful and what is not lawful in islam. Both muslims and nonmuslims are fighting over this and also muslims among themselves. All they need to do is refer to rules of FIQH for shariah law.
a)It is not things that are lawful or unlawful but to have them or to do them.
b)To have anything or to do anything is only haraam when it harms islamic society.
c)Anything that if it is not had or done and could result in harm to islamic society must be done in order to avoid harm.
Can one see how simple it makes things for all people?
It is because people lack information and skill to put it together they just take a stand and fight for it regardless right or wrong.
There is a need for us to change this mindset, attitude and behaviour if we want to reach the truth and lead ourselves to a better world. Fighting each other blindly like mad is only going to create more and more problems for us all which we are not trying to realise.
Let us be hopeful rather than hopeless and keep trying and may be we will come out of all sorts of nonsense, harm and destruction.
