This is not true … In order to accept Deity we need to open our mind to the possibility of Deity and this is a very rational thing to do. With this possibility established what we do then is subject any “claimant” of Deity to self-consistency against their claims and reflect on the matters that are said about that Deity by the adherents of that particular faith.

By a process of a) getting answers that are satisfactory - the “searcher” aught to b) edge closer to the idea being presented about that Deity c) ask more questions … checking throughout this process for internal and external consistency. And removing any unnecessary or rigged conditions that would hijack our fair conclusions.

The empircal evidence we have is The Qur’an itself … since we can show the ideas presented are not from us and he who uttered those words directs them to have come from Deity.
