Re: GoCDMA Pakistan

UMTS and CDMA are different standards. You should all go for it, even if the connection is slow right now. This technology is still maturing, but it definitely will stabilize quickly, provided there is interest. In many European countries 3G has still not matured enough compared to GSM, so Pak is having start up problems too. Look at Japan, it's leading with 3G.

Pakistan could be the new test site for many telecom and network providers in Asia, because of its size and you guys interest in tech. And of course purchasing power :)

Re: GoCDMA Pakistan

Zero one..i c…thanks for the info

Simply, i hav heard mixed reviews yaar. but yes i think its not worth spending that much money on it right now. thora stabilise ho jaye pehle toh acha ho ga i think. i think they’re gona improve with time. the market for this product is quite big i think.

Khanzada    someone pinch me please  was that really u?
kia haal chaal hae? thx 4 stoppin by

sabah u’re right abt that. Pak is developing in the telecom sector for sure. lots of potential. its a hot market these days.

Re: GoCDMA Pakistan

Yaar UMTS is based on W-CDMA (Wide-Code Division Multiple Access) … Yes CDMA has slightly different standards in other countries like in Japan where it’s called CDMA-2000 … The main difference to the GSM Networks is the Technology it’s based on … GSM uses TDMA (Time Division Multiple Access) … which isn’t sufficiant enough for broadband services/purposes … The only problem with CDMA is, that it has a “breathing feature/problem” in the Network … means once the number of users becomes high in a certain area at a time the range of the Broadscasting-Cell becomes shorter … the higher the number of users in a certain area the shorter the range of the respective broadcasting cell … that’s why sometimes u’ll have drop-outs or in other words “no Service” in crowded areas … It’s designed to maintain the speed of the service which then causes the drop-out of certain users who have a greater distance to the Broadcsating-Cell than others … means if u r only 3km away from it and someone else is 6km away, he is more like to be dropped-out of network than u …

In Japan they had to increase the number of the Broadcasting-Cell upto three times of the originally planned number … that causes higher roll-out (set-up) costs for the Service-Provider … That’s why most EU-Countries waited until UK rolled out and they could benefit from their experience …

Re: GoCDMA Pakistan

The gocdma is launched few months ago in Islamabad. I have installed it at my home 2/3 months ago. The cdma technology may be good over the world but I have really suffering it. and gocdma support people do not able to fix it yet. My number is (county code) (city code) 8002829. You call me and we will fortunate if we can talk to each other.

The phone does not work in day time and if work than voice become one sided. What ever cdma guys says on radio and tv advertisement seems totally wrong. At least gocdma customer will agree with me that the company is giving a poorest reponse.

As I gave my cdma number and I belive you willnot able to talk to me I am giving my cell number as well. 0300-9565568 and I can better explain thet why sould you not buy gocdma and waste your money.

Best of luck.
