dears… what i mewant with using the word go to is learn from kerala.kerala is the southern most state of india.kerala is the only state in india having 100%literacy and
its capital is trivandrum.kerala has provided many contributions to indian freedom struggle.kerala hold the record of having worlds first democratically elected communist government in 1957.kerala is the state where no communal riots take place.there are many important historical monuments present in this state.kerala is blessed with beautiful sceneries and one of its beaches the kovalam beach is world famous.the political situation in kerala is …in kerala communists and nationalists(congress)rule the state one after another.
B.J.P has not been able to bagg a single seat either to parliament or to legislative assembly from kerala.but one of the B.J.P minister in central ministry in india is a keralite.
kerala is a very peace ful state in india..and it hasbeen selected as one of the worlds 50 greatest destinations by discovery channel....(keralites are living in all the countries in the world ,even in pakistan too!!!).
Are you from Kerala? I might visit Kerala and Goa this September or October. Heard about the beaches a lot! Do you know of any hiking and trekking trails in the Nilgiris? I think hindi wouldnt be too well known in Kerala, right? Would english do, or will I need a tourist guide?
And of course, Kudos to Kerala on the 100% literacy mark. If I am not wrong, Kerala also leads in South Asia in women's education, sex ratio and quality of living indices.
Ye be a travel agent??
Aye, if ye be, ye be.
Me be deciding on ye place for summer?
It be a good idea?
What be ye idea for ye winter break??
What be ye charging fee for ye services???
people from pakistan and india should be able to travel to each other's country
without hinderance. this will clear
lot of misunderstading between them.
it gives them a chance to see how people live
what is really happening insteading of learning from newspapers.

kerala is the only place in
the subcontinent region where hindus muslims and christians live peacefully....each others take part in the others celebrations..they greet each other, share foods and EVENTALK AND MINGLE WITH EACH OTHER...kerala is the only place EVEN IN THE SUBCONTINENT...where an injured passenger will get all the helps.....IN KERALAS POPULATION 43% BELONGS TO CHRISTIANS AND MUSLIMS AND OTHER SIDE ,FULL HINDUS...kerala is the only place where u can see many theatres ,but hindi films wont gain much there......TITANIC WAS A SUPERB HIT THERE.....WOMEN QUED UP THERE FOR HOURS TO GET TICKETS.....FOR CRICKET LOVERS....IN KERALAS STADIUM,THE JAWAHARLAL NEHRU STADIUM,COCHIN FAMOUS AUSIS BATSMAN ADAM GILCHRIST SCORED IS FIRST FIFTY,TENDULKAR HAS THE BEST BOWLING FIGURES...PAKISTAN HAS PLAYD A FIRT CLAS MATCH HERE...PAKISTANIS WERE,INDEED OVERWHELMED BY TE AFFECTION AND WARMTH EXPRESSED BY THE PEOPLE,EVENTHOUGH ALL PEOPLE TIED A BLACK RIBBON ON THEIR HANDS TO PROTEST AGAINST MERCANARIY ATTACKS AND PAKISTANS SUPORT TO THEM...SOME YOUTHS EVEN PROCLAIMED THEIR SUPPORT TO ALTAF HUSSAIN AND MUJAHIR QUAMI MOVEMENT AND WANTED TO LIBERTE PAKTHOONISTHAN AND KARACHI...THEY TRIED TO DISPLAY SOME BANNERS ,BUT POLICE STOPPED THEM.....(SOME MUSLIM ORGANASITIONS LIKE JAMA AT E ISLAMI PEOPLE DISPLAYED ANTI PAK BANNERS,AND CONDEMNED ATOCITIES BY MERCANARIES TOWARDS HINDUS AND SIKHS, ,BUT POLCE OFICIALS INTERVENED AND REMOVED THEM)......
kearalits are living in all most all the nations in th world....in pakistan too...they are better known as mujahirs there......in karachi there are many keralits.....on keralite was singapores president...Mr.Devan Nair......
u all have heared of Mr.V.K.KRISHNA MENON...he was from kerala...he was a great diplomat, infact one the world has ever seen....HE WAS A SOCIALIST TOO...i will ome back with more informations.....
we spend a lot of time arguing, insulting, finger pointing and all even in these forums. What can our nations and our people learn for keralites. What needs to be done to bring this understanding to everyone.
Education seems like one huge factor. Does the demographics laos play a role i.e. the groups are all pretty large so there is no actual power monopoly or perceived power monopoly, because that also causes friction between the haves and the have-nots (whether its real or perceived)**
Ah my parents home state. Beautiful indeed. Hopefully I'll be going back in the next couple of years. All we need is a huge metro for city buffs. Maybe Trivandrum or Cochin will expand. I do not know if I would go there if I was say a foreigner and most would not today because of India's image as a land of poor people and corruption. If only we could single out Kerala as opposed to say BIMARU we may get much more tourism. Hopefully other Indian states will be as attractive as Kerala to tourism in a short time. Best of luck to Kerala on it's quest for more tourists.

rvikz,
I 100% agree with you on this point. Our press people have their own world of imaginations. In My case,..I would like to get first hand experience,...instead of learning from someone else.I have few places in India on my list to see.But life is so hectic here,...hardly even get time to go to Pakistan in some cases....The best way to clear all mis-understanding is to meet eachother, talk to eachother and reason with eachother.Sounds so easy,..But too difficult in real terms.
for all of ur reference,i post some of the informations about kerala.....
kerala is one of the first places in india where christianity first arrived in the sub continent.
kerala isthe first place in the subcontinent where muslims and jews first arrived....first muslim mosque in india is in kerala...its name is cheraman perumal mosque...the place is called kodungallooor....
kerala is the first place in india where portgese arrived in 1498 my,the first portugese ambassador was vascodegama,h was the first person to arrive in india.....
kerala is the first place in the whole world where communists gained the power through democratic means.it was in 1956...the first communist chef minister was E.M.S shankaran nampoothirippadu...(he was a brahmin too)
Mr.Prem Nazir is known as the keralas ever green star and he holds the world record of being hero in more than 1000 films!!!(his name hasbeen included in the guiness book)
kerala is the only place in the world where the monsoon phenomenon chakara'is seen.chakara is a phenomenon that takes place every year and during that phenomenon lakhs of tons of fishes come to a speific place in groups and fishermen catch them.....this incident has happened to be a theme in many kerala films.....one of the worldfamous film from keralathe chemmin'had the same theme...it was directed in 1965...and it won many awards....
kerala is the only palce in india where MAOIST-NAXALITScould not place their roots.during the end of 60s in 1968 and in 1970 naxalites attacked police stations and killed some people.but keralapeople united and joined their hands with pole and many naxalites were caugt and some were killed.eventually naxalite leaders had to call back their revolt ....(naxalites killed some feudals ,but it only helped to evoke people s protest).....the naxalites could not able to understand the situation prevailing i kerala...in klerala, apart from other places, feudals and the local peopkle kept a very good relationships.....when naxalites killed them or acted against them, people turned against the naxal outfits......that era marks a veryimportant time in kerala history.......
in the time of emergency too, people joined together and stood against the martil laws employed by the ruling regime.....
I am desperate to visit Kerala and get one of those ayurvedic treatments - they pour hot oil on you and massage you. After a week you feel like a new person!
