GM Marketing, PCB fired by Shahrayar Khan!

…and no points for guessing who is taking over as the new GM Marketing.

Ramiz Raja.

  First blunder by the new PCB boss. I hope he’s only a temporary replacement. The outgoing GM has vowed to sue PCB. I’ve heard this guy was asked to resign earlier but he point blank refused. I dont like him for being such a chipkoo.

ramiz raja? isnt he the ceo?

He's not just the CEO. He's the chief coach of the National Cricket Academy, director of the National Cricket Academy, chief executive PCB, an official in Allied Bank Limited (ABL), a cricket commentator, and if that wasn't enough, he's now GM Marketing PCB. Seems like he's indispensable for the PCB.

WHOAA  and i thought the new PCB chairman was sensible :bummer:

wat will the PCB do without him? he should quit everything n stick to commentary

Shaharyar Khan is a very smart guy from what i have heard and I think Ramiz has many other responsibilities such as ceo and all the other ones u mentioned I think he will get a proffesional to be the marketing manager! lets see what happens!

Dunno about PCB Marketing issue but I think Mr. Shahraryar Khan is for real. He suspended the squad for U-17 which was filled with sons and nephews of Cricketers families.

Run Aamir run…Run your ass off :hehe:

PCB chief fires marketing director

LAHORE, Jan 2: Shaharyar M. Khan in his first major decision as Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief fired marketing director Zahid Bashir on Friday.

Zahid has been relieved of his duties with one-month salary. The vacancy will be filled through advertisement and till such time chief executive, Ramiz Raja, will look after the affairs of the marketing department.

Zahid was the man, who signed the sponsorship deal with a private TV channel for live telecasting of five ODIs home series against New Zealand in December.

The deal made headlines after the first match of the series which was held at Lahore could not be telecast live due to rift between PTV and the private channel on the uplink rights. The matter was resolved after president Gen Pervez Musharraf personally intervened to settle the issue.
