How does Glucose help you when training?
Glucose is just sugar. It has 4 calories per gram like all carbs. The diff is it is absorbed very fast into the bloodstream and burned off very fast. If it is not used up, it gets stored as fat. Rather than buy pure glucose, I would just eat something with a lot of carbs, like a banana. Carbs are good to fuel a cardio-based workout. Since you're just doing weight training, you don't have to worry too much about carbs. Just make sure you get some protein in you within an hour of your weightlifting because it is the amino acids in the protein which help build up your muscle.
Provides you instant energy because glucose is one of the simplest sugar which is instantly absorbed into the blood stream.
