madam, use common sense. every author is biased, hence they write books promoting what they believe,
there is no such thing as balanced nutrition from drinking sugary, acidic water with cayenne pepper in it!!
also, it is meant as a detox, not weight-loss!
no dietician/nutrionist/doctor will recommend this!

This method for me was a great way to detox my system, clear my mind and plan on eating healther after breaking my detox fast.
While i was doing it for 10 days, my skin cleared up, looked really nice and lost 10 pounds that i didn`t gain back because i started eating healthy, Obviously if you gonna break your fast and go straight and eat Biryani, Nihari etc... then you will totally gain it back:)
For what has been said above that the diet has no Vitamins... I totally disagree because we all know since kindergarden that.
Lemon contains:
Vitamin A - is essential for the developement of bones , skin and eyesight, it strengthens the immune system, creating resistance to infection and disease.
-Vitamin C:is required for the synthersis of collagen, an important structural component of tendons, bones, teeth, blood vessesl and muscles. Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that assists the body in contesting viral infection, bacterial infectiom and toxicity.
Vitamin B1:[size=2] also known as thiamin, helps fuel your body by converting blood sugar into energy. It keeps your mucous membranes healthy and is essential for nervous system, cardiovascular and muscular function.
Vitamin B2: Riboflavin is a component of various coenzymes that play an important role in oxidation and reduction reactions in numerous metabolic pathways, such as those of fats, proteins and carbohydrates.
Vitamin B6: produces haemin, a component of haemoglobin. This substance gives red blood cells the ability to transport oxygen throughout the human body. Vitamin B6 regulates metabolism, digestion and fluid balance.
Follic Acid (Follate):Folate plays an important role in the metabolism of nucleic acids and amino acids. Consequentially, it is essential for cell growth and development and nervous system functioning.
Maple syrup: is a good sweetener to use if you are trying to protect the health of your heart. Vitamins are present in pure maple syrup are PP (Niacin), B5 (Pantothenic Acid), B2 (Riboflavin), Folic Acid, B6 (Pyridoxine), Biotin, and Vitamin A plus amino acids.
Cayenne pepper: Vitamin A,C,B6,K, Manganese, Dietery FiberThis diet also require a cup of Laxative tea every night and that is going to help clean up your system.
I am fully aware Madam:) That the primary function of the liver, kidneys and urinary system is to expel toxins that result from the body's metabolism of food, However, not all of human been have a healthy well function organs, dont just go eat junk, oily food and say oh my liver and kidneys will take care of my business!
also you mention that Lemon and SUGAR. CORRECTION: Maple syrup is a natural sollubale sugar not artificial sugar, that you will destroy your teeth, well:) if you brush your teeth 3 times a day you wont have cavities.
P.S. I am only sharing my 10 days experience with everyone, and i am not asking you Bride2be to follow what i did, you may have a perfect body, flat tummy and well functionning organs that naturally detox your body so you may not need it.
