~ Glowing Brides ~

Thanks Gina :)

^ U're welcome tweety :)

hiiiiiiiiii slllllllllllllllammmmmmmmm tweety where do u live ...........go to dermotoligist......ur face need collagen n protien treatments.......if u are in karachi........i can give u da contact of rite herbalistm 100%sure u ll get da result ,,,,,home ramedies r useless for u...........

Collagen "fillers" aren't for every skin-type.. and protein doesn't do anything for the pit-scars left by a severe case of acne either. Home-remedies take their time, since they're milder but they are effective.

Collagen has several side-effects..

HELP! I'm in a BIG BIG BIG trouble;
Friday evening, I went to get my face threaded. The esthetician decided to wax my upper lips. My skin is extremely sensitive. Needless to say, she burnt the upper lips area and a small portion on my cheeks. I'm EXTREMELY nervous and scared since I'm getting married on the 26th of April. I need to have this fixed ASAP. HELP! I know Aloe Vera oil/gel helps. Where would I be able to find it? Just a drug store? I haven't checked anything yet. I used an anti-inflammatory and Vitamin E so far :(

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

Same thing happened to my face two years ago. I used this cream that my doctor had prescribed earlier to me for nickel allergies/rashes. It did wonders for the burn and then I used Jergens Shea butter because when the skin starts peeling and all, it gets very dry :( If you can, definitely see a doctor.

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

Hmm yeah, I definitely am making a point to see a doctor Monday morning first thing, inshaAllah. Honestly this is SUCH a nightmare shudders but thanks for the in put. It is much appreciated =)

Mona buy an antibiotic cream Bactroban is really good.. to calm the skin u may apply calamine lotion.

The skin will peel..and purchase Vitamin E capsules..prick them with a needle and use the oil directly to the affected area's. PLEASE stay away from creams with salicylic acid, glycolic acid, alcohol, acetate, menthol..these will aggravate u're skin furthur.

Yoghut, is great for such conditions..apply it directly to the affected area!

Depilex in Khi/Lhr are just salons..while the one in Dubai is a complete spa called "The Haven" Im not too sure if they make the ubtan there..but do ask them.

Ubtan also works on uneven skin.. and can be applied, left-on for 20 mins and scrubbed-off. Massage with Olive oil and wash it off.

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

My skin is not in great shape and I'm getting married in July. I used to have a fantastic complexion all through my teenage years, not even a spot, and in the last 2-3 years I have little little spots ALL THE TIME either on my forehead and lately on my cheeks.

They're bumpy and have a hard core, and they leave scars that take forever to fade. Lately I'm making a face mask out of besan, sandalwood powder, kaolin (a type of clay like multani mitti) and rose water. I rub this twice a week into my skin and rinse with warm water. Also drinking a lot of green tea.

I can see some improvement but it's only week 1.5 of doing this, so could be a fluke. I've noticed my hormones drive my skin mad, and I'm currently in a good period, so it could be just a coincidence that my skin is seeming better.

I also ordered multani mitti and neem powder to try bomb the spots. Any other ideas?

ps: when I'm on holiday in a hot place, my skin clears right up. How come??

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

hi gina. i ve normal skin wid an oily t zone . i take my vitamins n eat healthy stuff everyday to keep my skin clear n glowin but it isnt . i ve tried every routine possible.i ve tiny breakouts not reli like pimples but like tiny pinkish thingies. one on me cheek n one on the bridge ofmy noose n on my forhead there r like 2 to 3 of em.i duno y they just suddenly strted a month ago der nt even pimples.i just wanna gt rid of em. n can u tel me how to keep my skin glowin n clear pls.wud reli appreciate ur help!

If u have a pimple most of the time, it's worth having it checked-out.. wish I knew the texture and type of acne..so I cud suggest an antibiotic. Don't rub the besan.clay onto u're skin..leave it on for 20 mins and wash-off..use this mask once a week..and keep u're skin really clean by using a deep cleanser 1-2 times a week and don't forget to close u're pores with a GOOD quality astringent and toner.

Spray u're face with chilled rosewater.. I fill-up a spray bottle and store it in my fridge and spray my face as often as I like.

First thing is to find-out if it's pimples/acne or a rash caused by sumthing u've put on u're face?

Mint juice and cucumber juice (in equal quantities) apply it and leave it on for 20 mins and wash-off..

hey ginaa

sum1 suggested i use cucumber juice and lemon juice on the skin for scars is that gud 2 use?

^ Yes that's good..but if u go thru this thread..I've given a remedy that uses red sandalwood, wild turmeric and lemon juice..that is by far the most effective for scars.

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

I totally love this thread. Great job Gina!

^ Thank you! :)

i wanted some help from u.. im pretty hand conscious..and ive noticed that some parts of my hands are getting a little dark..the knuckles .. and the area beneath the nails.. i think because these areas have joints etc.. but can u suggest a remedy to make them lighter? ive got fair hands, and so its even more prominent...and i aint liking it at all =(

secondly.. i dont have too much facial hair.. but i think ive got long hair on the sidelocks.. i dont know how to explain..and it makes me so conscious while taking a side pose picture..someone told me use 'chanay ki daal ka ata'...leave it for a bit and then scrub it off.. i did that for a while but i didnt show improvement so i left it..id be grateful if u could give me some suggestions..
