Sabha, Clinique is great for sensitive skin but it's not a fantastic foundation for full-coverage! I suggest Bobbi Brown, the foundation stick blends easily.. and can be topped-off with loose or pressed/compact powder. Use a concealer to hide u're blemishes as well Makeup Forever has nice ones that have long-lasting staying power.

Shanno, for actual spots u can use tea tree oil and wash u're face with a medicated facewash, once u're acne is gone then work on u're scars. The red sandalwood remedy is effective for pigmentation and acne scars and can be used 3-4 times a week.. u can add honey to it honey is a great moisturiser and lemon juice acts as a "bleaching agent".

Maria, what was it caused by? Some women have dark patches during pregnancy.. if they're really dark then u'd prolly have to use prescribed creams/gels instead of home remedies :)

Sabha, for the irritated skin blend 1 tablespoon fresh cream and 1 tablespoon oatmeal with enuff honey to form a paste and leave on for 20 mins wash-off and pat u're skin dry with a tissue and dab on milk.

^^ hi gina

no its nt soo dark. jst slightly uneven compared 2 the rest of her skin.. itz nt bcoz of pregnancy bcoz she hasnt bin pregnant yet..

she jst wnts her skin 2 b all one colour.. n plus her skinz reli dull

x

U can ask her to do the red sandalwood mixture 3-4 times a week then, it's the best for fading drk patches and spots.

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

gina,in 1 post u've mentioned an excercise for sagging under chin area....how exactly is the excercise supposed to be done??is the lower jaw supposed to move too or just the lower lip?

where can i purchase this ubtan in karachi?

oh....n u didnt reply my qstn abt how long will the red sandalwood remedy take to fade the scars

Nancy u can see results in a month.. it's all natural so takes longer. She can even go to a derm and get medicated gels such as HQ to lighten her pigmentation, but all such medicines MUST be prescribed!

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

gina,wat abt the lip excercise?

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

hello Gina, u mention the saffron and malai tip for pink lips, i have started doing it , but i was just wondering how long do i have to keep doing it , plz dunt say a month :( ... cuz i'm very impatient person :P ...

Hey Sabha83, I was just reading on your situation. This one foundation I would recommend is Vichy's Dermablend Corrective Foundation. It has amazing coverage.

I used to work at the beauty counter in a drug store a couple years ago and we would always get samples of new products. I still have that vichy foundation on me and it gives such amazing coverage that mostly I use a tiny drop as a concealer and then just translucent powder on top of that.

I would highly recommend it if you need high coverage, cuz it's primarily meant as a foundation.

Sabha, Pakistani salons use pansticks/tv sticks and those are next-to-impossible to blend.. to get a uniform tone they need to go over the entire face with water and a brush.. so it leaves no "streaky" lines!

Zunerha, 1 part dettol to 10 parts water (warm) mix it well and apply with cotton to the scalp every other day. Even lemon juice applied directly to the scalp works!

Blend fresh rose petals, glycerine, saffron and cream to regain the color of u're lips and keep urself hydrated by drinking lots of water.. always use a lip-balm to prevent chapping and peeling. Desi home-remedies take time :) no over-night miracles with these!

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

hey gina..

the paste consists of red sandalwood powder, lemon and haldi ryt.. jst makin sure

hw long iz she supposed to leave it on for??

x

thx Gina darling.:bulbuli: i will try it..

Yes, for 20 mins :)

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

Gina, i thought we just have to mix malai and saffron :( ... didn't notice the rose petals .. anyhow the problem is it hard for me to get rose petals so if i just mix malai, glacerine, saffron tht wont be enough?? ... or if there is anythin else u can recommend for pink lips ...

its just my upper lip is darker than the other one, ppl told me its cuz of lack of calcuim n i dunt drink milk ;( ...

What is "Urad ki daal"? And how exactly do you make the paste?
