Hi Gina

Sorry kinda similar question to the above beauticians i think say make-up can be applied much better when facial hair is removed i normally would bleach but if my make-up on wedding day will look better with removing facial hair i would like to do this just once and after that go back to bleaching will this one time still make hair grow back more noticible (thicker)??

I've given plenty of remedies for uneven skin-tone. please look them up..

Bleaching doesn't cause u're hair to become thicker, or change it's texture it just strips the hair-shaft of it's color. However, if u plan on waxing/threading u're face for the first time it's advisible u get it done a couple of times beforehand as many people breakout and get tiny bumps cuz of it.

But does threading facial hair make it more noticible on re-growth?

Gina i know bleaching doesn't was asking does threading

No threading won't do that either.. it's just an illusion when the hair is growing back that causes many to blv it's thicker! But try it several times beforehand.. so u're skin gets used to it and doesnt breakout right before the wedding.

skausur, Gina: it will, as i have mentioned before. it depends where on the face though. root hair removal on the eyebrow area won't change the hair follicles. however, in the beard area (sideburns, cheeks, chin, upper lip) which is sensitive to male hormones, root hair removal "strengthens" the hair follicles and causes what may have previously been fine, vellus hairs to become darker, coarser hairs.

it might be ok, if you do it just the once. it really depends on how sensitive you are to the hormones. if you have never pulled those hairs out before i think the last thing you would want is to end up with a few straggly, thick dark hairs that you will have to keep plucking afterwards.

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

I'm so worried don't know what to do i would never want my hair on face to become thicker then what it is now! At the moment i bleach but i know beuticians advise remove for better make-up application. I thought i would just do it once but as Gina said don't want breakouts right before wedding

well i would say that if your hairs are fine and short and not very visible after bleaching, to just leave them. :) once the make-up is done i doubt the hair will show up in the photographs or be anymore visible in real life than it is now. also, if you intend to go back to bleaching afterwards do you really want to put up with a few weeks of regrowth that will be too short to bleach properly?

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

also gina, before ur wedding how many months prior should u get a facial ive heard evey month for six months before ur wedding?

In 2006 I got warts on my hand and when I went to the dermatologist he burned my hand (they call it “freeze”) but even after that the wart didnt go away and my hands got all swollen…it was terrible…he asked me to come back for the next treatment but in the mean time someone told me about a homeopathic doctor so I went to him and he gave me Thuja…and it really worked and it removed all the warts and all everything looked normal. So I highly suggest you use that or go to a homeopathic doctor cuz they have really good skin treatments.

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

MY sister used Thuja for a wart on her foot...I've used it as well. It's very good.

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

Hi Ladies

Firstly I would just like to thank the lovely Gina who is always encouraging us all to use waxing as a method of hair removal rather the depilatory creams. Thanks Gina!!!

I used to have a brazilian done from some women and then she moved away so I went back to creams as I never thought I could remove hair from down there myself using wax

However I thought I would give it a try as Gina said hair removal creams make the skin dark. I bought some Louis Marcel wax strips pack of 10 for £1.99!!!!!! I used to get a brazilian done for £12.50. And I have only used five of the strips

Anyway i did the waxing myself and I can honestly say it didn’t hurt half as much as I thought it would!!!!

Some tips for you girls

  • Do not wax one week before or during your periods as skin is more sensitive.
  • Some people take half a painkiller 15mins before waxing
  • Apply talc to the area to be treated
  • If using wax stips warm with Hairdryer lol this is a really good tip for turning cold wax into warm wax
  • When you pull the strip away to remove the hair do not look to the area – TRUST ME less painful.
  • If you do experience pain wax a small part then some more the next day and so on

Hope this helps xx
