~ Glowing Brides ~

^ Sweet!

Okay here's a quick tip for my GS girls..

For all those that tend to go red after threading/waxing and then break-out into tiny bumps after threading/waxing apply cornflour mixed with rosewater (paste) it cools the area and gives great relief!

For those suffering from hair-loss:

U will need a bottle of coconut oil, a jute bag, methi seeds. You have to burn the piece of jute (about 4in x 4 in piece) till it's completely burnt and breaks apart.. coarsely grind the methi seeds and add to the coconut oil and add to it the burnt jute piece. Massage this onto the scalp 3 times a week!

how long shud we leave this stuff on for? few hrs? overnight?

Yeah, about 2-3 hours =)

A good scrub for all types of skin:

2 tablespoons yoghurt, 1 tablespoon orange peel powder, 1 tablespoon brown sugar.

^ What's orange peel powder?

Hi Gina,

what is jute?

Orange peel powder is exactly what the name implies! You dry orange peels and then powder them =)

aaah sumone help me translate the "jute" bag please.. my urdu is :S

Re: ~ Glowing Brides ~

Gina, your a genius, do you apply these amazing reciepes for yourself as well? Just wondering, and my question to you is, what is a good shampoo to use for thin, oily hair, what an amazing combination hah, lol. I have an oil factory in my hair and my hair gets oily the next day after washing it. Any suggestins?

And the other problem that i am having is, that for some reason my hair seems like its not growing longer, and i really want it to be long before my wedding in the spring of 2009? I really need to do something so my hair could be heathy again.

I blame myself, when i was 13, I got a perm to make my hair curly, since i hated my straight hair, and the perm didnt work, so after a month, i got another perm. And since that time, it permanently damaged my hair! Yes, mothers are ALWAYS right when they stop you from something, lol.

An oily scalp is very normal, u shud use a volumising shampoo for special occasions and i've given a recipe of an oil sumwhere on this thread, do give it a try! Either the one with henna leaves and coconut oil or the one with the jute bag..

When my grandmother is down she makes sure I do one thing or the other :S so yes I do use some of the remedies.

gina what's the jute bag oil?
