U have to make sure the overall hair-color is the same.. a person with lighter roots and dark ends.. will end-up having dark roots and lighter ends after the dye.
U usually start from the roots..and apply the color activator to both sides of the desired section. Any previously bleached hair.. will give a diff effect :)
