Globalization

Who here agrees with globalization? Why or Whynot. Think about how it can affect our environment, economy, peace, population problems, world hunger… is it goo or bad.

I am writing a paper on this, so I am trying to formulate Ideas.

Globalisation itself, is an inevitable universal phenomenon pertaining to the progressive nature of HumanKind. It is just unfortunate that this wonderful "evolution" has been hijacked by the not - so - humane (who have no moral values, there4 no sense of responsibility), and so injustice and exploitation is prevalent.

As a muslim, the whole "infrastructure" of Islam and my life has always been global. One God, One World,...the fundamental roots of Islam is Unity. These are what the basic tenets of Salah, Sawm, Hajj Zakah etc teach us...(Think Global act Local)

I look forward to the day the world will be One and I will be proud to stand with fellow beings,(Humanity in the Real sense will prevail)

For me, the future is Global, the future is Islam. There is no contradiction between the two.

I don't know how useful that will be for your paper (Good Luck), but thats my view, anyway!!

And while still on the topic, I'd like to explain the Theory of Unity:

Every major religion (the Abrahamic religions, Zoroastrain, Hinduism, Bhuddism etc) or Code of Life (Ancient Chinese & Indian) has always been of the view that the Entity from which we and everything else in the UNIverse are originated, is Esentially One. Therefore the actual state of Harmony(balance of energies) is Unity (hence the phrases like "I feel peaceful...at ONE with the world"). Deviation from this Unity leads to sufferings and injustice.

The "boundries" be they political, cultural, racial, geographical, regional...etc are of our own makings and hence lead to Disharmony, i.e racism, wars etc.

So it is inherent within ourselves that we be ONE!

Priest:
I'd love to give you my two cents on the topic but am in need of the definition of "globalization" that you are working from. I have found that whether people view globalization as good or bad usually comes down to how narrowly or broadly they define it.

I guess that I mean the evolution of a one world order or government. The way that our econmies are increasingly affecting each others and that the actions of one country can affect another to a point where international laws are needed to regulate. Regulate things such as polution, hunger, war, yada yadayada.

I tried to look up an official definition but couldn't find one that suited my goal. so there ya go
