Just came across this site - great idea and implemented too! And it really is free, according to all the testimonilas I read. So if you’re looking for free accomodation - go try. Help people to get to know different cultures better and from the locals.
Good resource. Usually trust can be an impediment though.
I have stayed with host families in Peru, Ukraine and Turkey, but it wouldn’t have been possible without my colleagues from those regions who set me up thru word of mouth. It provides the locals much needed extra income and a close look for the traveler. Sometimes spending money on hotels just doesn’t make sense given the amount of time spent out.
Is there a web resource for such accommodation for adventure seekers wanting to visit Pakistan? I know a couple of gringos, but I am out of touch.
