Global Warming: Hoax or not?

Re: Global Warming: Hoax or not?

I think its real.

When most of us here the word ""Green"", we think of care for the environment, or recycling right? Well that is only part of its description that we are referring to in this article. ""Green Jobs"" are jobs that are considered to be green-collar positions that help protect ecosystems and bio-diversity, reduce energy, materials and water consumption through high efficiency strategies. This jobs can also involve de-carbonizing the economy and minimizing the forms of waste and pollution- basically, to sum it all up, it is a job that helps preserve the environment in its natural state. All around the world, the introduction of green jobs has sprang up different opinions. There are many companies in Canada and the US that do support improving the environment, and as a result have a growing green collar work sector within their company. Some companies are currently expanding in this sector: Canon USA, Ford, Proctor & Gamble, Coca-Cola and Verizon. There are some courses that would prepare interested candidates to work in Green sector jobs. For example: At ""Lakes College"" in Iowa, US, there is the Wind Energy Program, which is a specialization program in Environmental Science. In Toronto, Ontario, at Schools such as ""Windsor"" University, and ""University of Toronto"", that offer programs that prepare candidates to work in the Green Collar Sector.

Though the market of Green jobs is booming all around the world, so is the pollution and global climate change, causing green jobs to be at a greater risk of dying down. In order for the green job market to grow, it is necessary to first tackle the issues of our environment first. 1.) Reduce Purchases: Before buying any product, think to yourself ""how did the production of this product impact the environment, and also what further impacts will there be with the disposal of the product?"". 2.) Living in a Tree- Free Home: This means that you are attempting to use as little paper products as possible. You can replace paper towels with a special set of cloth towels/napkins - store the used ones in a small container in your kitchen and just wash and reuse. Another way to be tree- free would be to create and use note pads from once-used paper. Another way to save on paper would be to make your own cards/letters from once-used products or handmade paper. It really is that simple to save on paper products! 3.) Avoid using Plastic Shopping bag: If you have a few items, avoid purchasing a bag. If you have alot of items, use a cloth grocery bag. They are only a dollar per bag, and easier on the enviroment! 4.) Use Recycling Bins: This is a very easy way to make sure that your appropriate items are being taken care of the right way. Have your bin in a place which is convenient for everyone to use. 5.) Reduce Energy Consumption: Do your part by creating a Energy saving plan for your home- whether that is reducing the use of water or electricity use. Any little bit you do, will definetly help make a difference for the environment in the long run!
