Also, all parties are pretty much alike when it comes to competence and their backgrounds really. Even the ‘lone’ party you left out of your list has old turncoats that were part of the other parties you mentioned and business kingpin (chowdries) with vested interests and I personally don’t expect this report you highlighted to have been anymore different than what it is now if by some miracle they came to power instead of their old comrades in power.

To me, among the i) political lot none of them are worth glorifying as a collective, and the same goes for the ii) judiciary and iii) military despite the fact that recently all three are actually finally doing what they are supposed to be doing. Hopefully, it’s up hill from here provided we let the process run its course without a decade of another dictatorship.

A party which has passed historic Whistleblower Protection Law (only third of its kind in whole of South Asia) and Conflict of Interest (Bill), with sitting minister in jail for corruption, and to be only political party to push for LG polls which goes all the way down to village council level speaks volume about their ability and willingness to be at least ‘different’ from others. And, no KPK is not ‘same’ as before.

Not everyone can be Asad Umar in PTI. How many of ‘professional’ ‘educated’ folks are willing to give up their careers, privacy, income, and comforts of certain lifestyle to practically join the dirty and ruthless business of Pakistan politics so Imran doesn’t have anyone, absolutely no one from Purana Pakistan?

The whole idea of normalizing sheer incompetence of so called ‘experienced’ teams by suggesting that everyone is the same so live with it kind of frees the powerful from all sense of responsibility, accountability and pressure.
