Glamour nights

Faltering in 1970s glamour.
What should have been
My mothers lipstick.
Her leggy sequined smile.

I wear it for fashion
for statements about my childhood
Those moments
vogue could never capture.

I smile for cameras
like invisable men
stalked by paparazzi in my mind.
flashes. Smile.

This ruby heel my dreams lost.
My mother. to her inlaws
wedding days.
wedding nights.

This golden crown a shackle.
tying me.
to bedposts
not my own.

The hospital rooms
gateways
to poeple we could become
I am my mother mother.

These heady heady visions
In these dizzy prophetic nights

Very Nice… :flower1:
